It's common and fruitful for a Catholic parish to have a mission during Lent to grow together with a particular theme or focus of one aspect of our life with Christ. Janet Scanlan will be assisting Fr. Greg with talks on "Hope" during our Parish Mission from 7-8 PM on March 12th, 13th and 14th in the church. Mrs. Scanlan is a respected Catholic spiritual leader and speaker who inspires faith in her words and example and helped start OLVP's women's group, Endow. Please join us for one or all of the nights!

OLVP for Life invites all to come learn more about what we believe as Catholics regarding Physician Assisted Suicide and Abortion. Andrew Rivas, Manager for Public Policy and Advocacy for the Archdiocese of Washington will be discussing the Maryland proposed legislation to make Physician-Assisted Suicide (PAS) legal, as well as the abortion amendment slated to be on the November 2024 election ballot. Thursday, March 7 at 7:00PM in Founders Hall.

During Lent, we will be doing the Stations of the Cross every Friday evening from 6:30-7 PM (Feb 23rd through March 22nd).

High-school age young men are invited to a Quo Vadis Excursion on Sunday, February 25, 2024, in Prince George’s County. Please see the day’s schedule below. Optional bus transportation will be available with pick-up locations at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Landover Hills and the Chick-fil-A in Largo. Registration for the Excursion and for the bus is required. 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Mary’s of Piscataway 10:45 a.m. Bus departs for Piscataway National Park 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Hike and snack 1:00 p.m. Arrive back at St. Mary’s of Piscataway for lunch in parish hall 2:00 p.m. Event concludes; bus returns to Chick-fil-A and Saint Mary’s in Landover Hills
