Monthly non-perishable food collection to help these local pantries keep their Food Pantry stocked. The Pantry’s current most needed items will be posted in the bulletin. Donations in paper or plastic grocery bags can be placed in the alcove in the lower level of the church. Upcoming collections will be:
The Lord’s Table Soup Kitchen
The Lord’s Table Soup Kitchen provides those in need with a hot meal service. OLVP will continue to volunteer on the fifth Thursday of any month that has five Thursdays. Therefore, our next opportunity to serve will be on Thursday, October 31st, 2024.

Sorting Clothing Donations
OLVP ministry to support Montgomery County residents experiencing homelessness and poverty. The volunteer team sorts clothing the 3rd Friday of every month from 2-4 PM. Several times a year a gently used clothing collection is held at our parish. See bulletin for details.
School Supplies Collection
OLVP supports the Interfaith Works Clothing Center school supplies program that provides low-income families with goods free of charge. Our next collection will be in July 2025 so check back for a list of needed items and the opportunity to donate to children in need.
Adopted Family Collections
Thank you OLVP Parishioners for your amazing response to our Fall Collection. Our next collection will be in December 2024. Look for the giving tree in the gathering space.
OLVP has “adopted” three families for this 2024-2025 school year and three times throughout this year (September, December & April) we will provide new toys, clothing & household items to these families in need. Please consider donating to these families in our community.
The mission of Linkages to Learning is to improve the well-being of Montgomery County’s children and families through a collaborative delivery of comprehensive school-based services that support success at home, in school and in the community. Linkages to Learning addresses non-academic barriers to learning and serves more than 5,400 individuals per year.
