Adopted Family Collections
OLVP has “adopted” four families for this 2021-2022 school year and three times throughout this year (October, December & April) we will provide new toys, clothing & household items to these families in
need. A SignUpGenius will be created and posted here a few weeks prior to each collection. Please consider donating to these families in our community.
The mission of Linkages to Learning is to improve the well-being of Montgomery County’s children and families through a collaborative delivery of comprehensive school-based services that support success at home, in school and in the community. Linkages to Learning addresses non-academic barriers to learning and serves more than 5,400 individuals per year.
The Lord’s Table Soup Kitchen
The Lord’s Table Soup Kitchen re-opened mid-October 2021 for hot meal service. As we have in the past, OLVP will continue to volunteer on the fifth Thursday of any month that has five Thursday’s. Therefore, our next opportunity to serve will be on Thursday, September 29th. All volunteers must be vaccinated. Simply click on the link below to see how you can help.

Operated by Catholic Charities
Gift bags filled with personal care items will be provided to each of the clients, both men and women, who reside at Dorothy Day Place. Dorothy Day Place is a transitional housing program in Montgomery County functioning as a bridge between homelessness and permanent housing. We have scheduled to provide "care bags" in March, July and November. Thank you to those who donated personal care items for our March delivery of "care bags". Please look for our next opportunity to provide "care bags" in July.

The St. Nicholas Christmas Catalog gives us a chance to reclaim the true meaning of Christmas. Honor a family member or friend by making a donation to a charity from this year's catalog. To view and print the catalog at home, click the button below.
Shady Grove Pregnancy Center
Every winter, on the weekend before or after the March for Life, OLVP supports Shady Grove Pregnancy Center by either having a collection of needed baby items or by participating in the Baby Bottle Campaign. This year, the March for Life will be held on January 21st, 2022 in Washington, D.C. For more information on the March for Life, please visit their web-site at https://marchforlife.org/. This year we collected a crib full of needed baby items to support SGPC! Thank you to all who donated. Let's pray to protect human life!
