Born 1958 in Chicago, IL. Was raised and educated in the city. He met my wife at the University of Illinois at Chicago and was married in August 1980. They have 3 sons, ages 41, 39, and 37 and 5 grandchildren ages: 21, 15, 15, 10 and 5.
Deacon Ted is a cradle Catholic and attended a Catholic school from Grade 1 through 8, attended a public high school prior to going to the university. He served in the United States Army for 26 years. The Army moved his family from Chicago to the Washington DC Area in 1991. He retired from the Army as a Colonel with his last position being the Director of Information Assurance and Chief Information Security Officer on the Army Staff.
He also served 10 years in civilian clothes as a government employee for the US Army and the Army National Guard. He left government service as a GS 15, Deputy Chief Information Officer/G6, Army National Guard.
Deacon Ted was invited to consider the Deaconate by a Deacon in his Parish at Mother Seton in Germantown. He applied and was ordained after 5 years of formation in 2013 at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. He was originally assigned to St. Stephen the Martyr in Washington and was transfered here to Our Lady of the Visitation in 2016.
Currently he is a member of the Archdiocese of Washington Deacon Advisory Council and Former Chairman of the Council Executive Committee. He lived in Darnestown for 28 years and currently lives in Mt. Airy, MD.
